As we come to the close of a monumental year—a year where it is easy to focus on the challenges experienced—we choose, instead, to reflect with gratitude on the wonderful gifts received by The Women’s Center with the help of a generous community.

HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Our generous donors stepped up to ensure that the holidays will be filled with joy for our client families. We made adjustments to our program to ensure that donors and clients were safe. But, thanks to gift and gift card donations, and with the help of some staff elves to wrap gifts, The Women’s Center was able to help more than 60 client families experience the magic and hope of the holiday season.

BUILDING RENOVATION & A/V EQUIPMENT UPGRADE

In 2019, The Women’s Center began planning a space renovation to keep up with the growing needs of our community. Generous donors provided the means for us to undergo a space renovation, as well as upgrade audio/visual equipment within the building. The completed renovation and upgrades allow us to provide improved virtual training opportunities, as well as serve clients safely and more efficiently.

THE GIFTS THAT KEEP ON GIVING

Finally, as we anticipate an increased need for our services as a result of the pandemic, The Center is working diligently to be able to meet those needs.

• We expanded staff in all three programs to meet increased client needs.
• We launched a new website with improved functionality, updated blog and agency event calendar.
• Finally, our dedicated, flexible staff continues to adapt quickly to changes in the way we provide service to our clients – ensuring we meet the needs of Tarrant County’s most vulnerable families.
