Volunteer Information Session

Direct service volunteers are vital in helping us accomplish our mission. Commit your time to support clients in our Rape Crisis and Victim Services, General Counseling, and Employment Solutions programs.

These volunteers are a group of passionate, dedicated, and well-trained individuals who help us provide a place of hope for women, men and children in Tarrant County.

Wednesday, September 2  |  6:00 – 7:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunities:

Victim Advocate

Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to sexual assault survivors (adults and adolescents) and their families at local hospitals and on the 24-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Hotline. Must have own transportation.

Helpline Volunteer

During the weekday, answer The Women’s Center Helpline to provide emotional support and problem-solving assistance to people in difficult and sometimes crisis situations. Offer information about The Women’s Center’s services along with referrals to community resources.

Employment Advisor

Assist participants with their job search by conducting mock interviews, resume review, and facilitating Specialty Seminars – in person and via Zoom.

Department Support Volunteer

Support the staff of the Employment Solutions department in-person with general office tasks such as: filing, copying, file set up, donation organization / processing, data entry into confidential database, and webinar support- assist staff and provide background support during webinars on Zoom.
